According to officials, preparations for decorating the trains will start early on Saturday and the work will be completed by the end of the day.
After a long wait, people can hop on Chennai Metro next week for a quick, comfortable ride.

The much awaited Chennai Metro rail passenger service will be inaugurated by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday, according to government sources.
She will inaugurate the first phase of the ₹14,000-crore project from Alandur to Koyambedu via video conference from the State Secretariat, sources said.

The 10.1-km elevated stretch has five stations in between, and will take less than 20 minutes to travel with the train stopping for 30 seconds in each station.
